Bloggers feature – Look Magazine

I heard through the grapevine that Look Magazine were doing a feature on blogging and seeing as I spend the majority of my week researching my next blog post and reading others’, I just had to grab a copy!

If you haven’t already seen it, it’s well worth a read! It was fascinating to find out how what starts out as a hobby (or in some cases a project for uni), can transform and take you on a journey beyond your wildest dreams. It was so inspiring to hear Lilly’s, Amelia’s and Sara’s stories. In fact so inspiring, I am even considering giving Look Magazine’s blogging competition a go.

Never before would I have considered this. Not because of a lack of passion. Trust me, I am passionate about blogging and everything fashion. More a lack of confidence. The very reason why I haven’t shown my face on my blog yet or dared pose for an outfit post. I’m also not one of the “big names” on the blogging circuit and I always figured that that meant I wouldn’t stand a chance. However since reading Amelia’s story, I could really relate and now I feel inspired to enter. You know what they say:- nothing ventured, nothing gained!

  1. Hello lovely! Just got your comment! I'm glad it inspired you! I definitely think you should give it a go. I've never done an outfit post, and when i entered the comp i had under 100 followers - so it really just is all about your creativity and passion! Go for it! X

  2. Thanks for posting this. I don't usually buy Look so I just had a sneaky read hehe! I'm never confident showing my face/what I wear; I'm way too self conscious! But every comment I've received is always really nice so that's nice reassurance that I'm at least not putting everyone off! If you do enter (you should), good luck :) x

  3. you should apply! i've been thinking about it too, i'm the same "oh i'm not a well known blogger, what's the point - wouldn't stand a chance" but what have we got to lose?!

  4. I've just read your post where you mentioned me in March (when I left blogger for a while) I didn't see it at the time, but I honestly would have thanked you had I done so! It genuinely brought a tear to my eye. You were one of the handful of people I had as a reason to return to blogging because of the wonderful support you offered to me throughout some really tough times.

I guess I just wanted to thank you :)

And you should definitely go for it! I've got a post I'm working on but I don't know if I'll post it or not yet xx
