Boohoo Blogger Challenge in association with www.fashionvouchers.com

When Karen of Fashion Vouchers emailed asking me if I wanted to participate in a Boohoo Blogger challenge in celebration of Boohoo.com reaching the top 10 fashion money saving websites, I couldn’t resist! All you need to do is create an outfit that comes to £50 or less for your chance to win a voucher courtesy of Boohoo.com

It was so difficult getting it down to just one outfit – Boohoo has so many lovely things at the moment! The look I’ve gone for is the sort of outfit I’d wear on a date.

Please find my entry below:

Total cost: £50

As my own personal style is all about clashing different prints, colours and textures, I felt it was only fair to incorporate this into my outfit. I took several catwalk trends – peplum, baroque print and pops of neon colour – and combined them to create this striking look.

This top is pure art. And for this very reason, I wanted to keep the lower half of the outfit fairly simple with these black trousers. I picked these ones in particular as they are so much more than your average pair of black trousers. The zips give them an extra edge and I love the coated, shiny material which contrasts with the matt, polyester fabric of the peplum top. For those of you not sold on the whole peplum trend, you could always tuck the ruffles into the trousers for an alternative look as they are fairly high waisted trousers like Disco Pants.
I couldn’t resist the colour palette of the heels which are a mere £15 in the Boohoo sale. Front on, they may look like your standard black strappy heels, but turn to the side and POW! those pops of colour hit you.

An outfit like this on a date warrants your chair being pulled out for you at the restaurant and many adoring looks from your date. And if by the end of the evening he hasn’t tried to put his arm around you / to kiss you... forget him. You (and this outfit) deserve better.

Have you submitted an entry for Fashion Vouchers?
