#8 Life as we know it

Autumn is closing in on us fast. I have a spare disposable BBQ which I'd love to have the chance to use, but we all know that's not going to happen. Instead I foresee film nights, hot drinks aplenty, and swapping beer gardens for pubs with roaring log fires.

Here's what I've been up to lately:

These were a wonderful gift which helped brighten up a rubbish week.
Sunflowers are my favourites and I think they always will be.

It's now officially the season for chunky knitwear.
Meaning that our cats love me more than usual:

Work has been stressful to say the least.
Which has resulted in Mum leaving me these sorts of notes:

After work cocktails have been an absolute godsend

Had a really random night out where after playing poker in a wine bar in Blackfriars, we were put in taxis and taken for drinks on a boat. Seeing London at night from the top deck was awesome. As was this Captain Morgan glass I drank from:

Miranda Hart goes on tour in 2014 and I went to a sneak preview the other night. It was rib achingly funny and if you're a fan of the show, you'll love it.

This last week I have also been drinking disgusting looking smoothies all with the aim of being healthier. Spinach, kale and kiwi tastes a lot nicer than it sounds!

I like to have 1 / 2 nights a week where I sit in bed and catch up on all the latest magazines. The latest Asda catalogue really impressed me - they have such a strong clothing range at the moment and I want virtually all of their bedding! Ironically in the pic below all magazines are on an Asda duvet cover which I first mentioned here

Lovely work lunch at Ping Pong where we sipped various flowering teas and snacked on seaweed crackers whilst deciding what to order from their extensive menu

Hope you all are having a lovely week! x x

  1. I hope work calms down soon! Those cocktails look delish, been too long since I had a cocktail! xxx

    1. You work near me right? There's an awesome cocktail place just around the corner from us x x

  2. Here's to Autumn/Winter. I got completely caught in the rain today -_- But I'm absolutely looking forward to the same things you are - warmth, hot chocolates, watching films in bed etc! Bed is the best place to be in London since everywhere seems to get a lot busier in the build up to Christmas. Hope work stress dies down for you!

    1. The rain is not my friend. I go from curly haired to corkscrew curls and I hate it :'( Haha, I have hot chocolate all year long so I'm chuffed it's the season where it can finally be justified! ;) x x
