#9 Life as we know it

December is always such a busy month - parties, too much alcohol and too little sleep -  but thankfully the 25th is nearly here. I'm looking forward to some days off from work and catching up on some zzzz's. Here's what I've been up to lately:

Evenings spent in bed with episodes and festive knee knee highs

The most beautiful flowers were delivered to me. I love receiving flowers.

Shunning the bad weather in favour of nights in with friends. My friend Sara came round and made the most incredible steak salad:

with chocolate mousse torte and biscuit liquor to follow.

Oh and some caramel flavoured rum which we drank neat:

Our cats are feeling the cold snap and have taken to hugging radiators

I tried out a recipe I found - sweet potato and chorizo soup - and it was delicious

Love Costa's festive menu. White hot chocolate and honeycomb hot chocolate... NOM

Kelloggs very kindly sent me some vouchers so I'll be stocking up on Special K fo' sure

Blogger Secret Santa which you can read about here and you can see what I bought Jessica here

I won't be posting over Christmas as I'll be in and out London over the next few days. Which leaves me to say: thank you for all your support in 2013. I'm forever grateful to everyone who stops by and reads my silly ramblings. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best in 2014 :)

  2. I too have been hugging radiators because it's that cold in the mornings!! No item of clothing touches me without having been pre-heated on a radiator first. Merry Christmas Lucy! And happy new year!
